This was a great year to be a Hollywood marriage celebrant and divorce lawyer.
Every A-List, B-List down to Z-List celebrity walked down the aisle in 2019 and then divorced.
OK, that’s an exaggeration.
Celebs did make other news and some of it was pleasant. They procreated, made zillions of dollars and won Oscars, Grammys and Emmys while others were caught up in scandals and went to jail.

And… pass the tissues… some big names took their final bow.
The Kardashians also made lots of news. You don’t care about the Kardashians?
Agreed. Let’s skip them.
Here’s the Kardashian-free highs and lows of Tinseltown in 2019.
LIAM & MILEY
Didn’t see this one coming… cough, cough.
Liam Hemsworth, the Aussie hunk, and Miley Cyrus, the twerk queen, separated less than a year after their nuptials.
He turned up to their Nashville wedding in joggers – the dude was ready to run.
The last straw for the couple were photos on social media of Miley getting cosy with celebrity blogger Kaitlynn Carter (who split with reality TV beau Brody Jenner).
Miley, obviously a fan of hunky Aussie lads, is now twerking with Gold Coast singer Cody Simpson.
Liam is OK. He’s been spotted with Aussie actress Maddison Brown.
Aussie basketball superstar Ben Simmons split with supermodel Kendall Jenner. She’s a Kardashian? OK. Let’s move on.
Hollywood stud Bradley Cooper and Russian supermodel Irina Shayk went kaputski; Lady Gaga split with Christian Carino (No, no, no it had nothing to do with how in love Brad and Gaga looked crooning their hit Shallow at the Oscar ceremony); Mischa Barton and Aussie model James Abercrombie crashed and burned.
Other notable Splitsville visitors: Adele and Simon Konecki; Michelle Williams and Phil Elverum; Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx; Larry King and seventh wife Shawn Southwick King; Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp… and many more.
WEDDING BELLS/ENGAGEMENT RINGS
Chris Pratt said hasta la vista, baby to ex Anna Faris last year and married Arnie’s daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger in June.
Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and art dealer Cooke Maroney married.
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were engaged.
Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr’s ex Orlando Bloom were engaged.
Supermodel Heidi Klum tied the knot with German rocker Tom Kaulitz.
Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian wed.
Ohhh. How cute. The great news is celebs had babies in 2019 and didn’t call them Moon Unit or Apple.
Miranda Kerr and Snapchat billionaire Evan Spiegel welcomed baby boy Myles – her third bub.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had their third daughter and she could be Moon Unit – the glamour couple has not announced her name.
Keira Knightley and James Righton had a second daughter, Delilah.
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson continued the parade of girls with the arrival of Birdie Mae.
BOX OFFICE KINGS
Disney and Marvel are the box office kings of 2019 with Avengers: Endgame number one with US$2.8 billion in tickets sold worldwide.
Disney’s The Lion King was second (US$1.7 billion), Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far from Home third (US$1.13 billion), Disney/Marvel’s Captain Marvel fourth (US$1.1 billion) and Disney’s Toy Story 4 fifth (US$1.07 billion).
Disney isn’t finished for 2019 with Frozen II on track to crack the billion and the latest chapter of that little independent sci-fi film franchise, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, opens this week.
BOX OFFICE FLOPS
Nicole Kidman’s The Goldfinch cost a reported US$45 million to make, was touted as an early Oscar pick but has made just US$9.8 million.
Matthew McConaughey had twin flops – Serenity (cost US$25 million and made just US$14.4 million) and The Beach Bum (cost US$5 million and made US$4.5 million).
Full House actress Lori Loughlin, her designer husband Mossimo Giannulli and Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman got caught up in the college admissions scandal.
Huffman was sentenced to 14 days’ jail for paying US$15,000 to boost her daughter’s test scores.
Loughlin and Giannulli, accused of paying US$500,000 to secure University of Southern California rowing scholarships for their daughters despite no history in the sport, face 60-year jail sentences if convicted of mail fraud and other charges.
Depressed enough yet? These celebs took their last bows in 2019.
