THE new decade has just begun and we have already heard of the unfortunate death of some celebrities.

The rapper, whose real name was Jerome Cosey, was admitted to hospital to have surgery.
This was to repair a ruptured artery and NOLA.com reported he sadly died due to complications of the procedure.
The Bounce music innovator’s portfolio included songs such as F*** Katrina and Let Me Find Out, and he worked with superstar Drake on the 2018 hit single Nice for What and Lil Wayne on 2009’s Bend It Ova.
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell took to social media to pay tribute to the iconic figure, stating: “New Orleans has lost a cornerstone of our culture,’ she said.
“Our City will not be the same without his voice and his spirit. May he rest in God’s perfect peace.”
Harry Hains, 27, – 07/01/2020
American Horror Story actor Harry Hains passed away at the age of just 27.
His Mum Jane Badler, who is also an actor, took to Instagram to tell her fans the shocking news.
“He was 27 and had the world at his feet. But sadly he struggled with mental illness and addiction”, she said.
“A brilliant spark shone bright too short a time… I will miss you, Harry, every day of my life.”
Harry also featured in trippy Netflix drama The OA and also loved his music, and performed under the name ANTIBOY.
Stephen Clements, 47, – 07/01/2020
BBC Radio Ulster presenter Stephen Clements has died suddenly at the age of 47.
Tributes have poured in for the married dad-of-two, who began his radio career at Citybeat before hosting Q Radio’s breakfast show from 2010.
He joined Radio Ulster in September last year, saying the move was his “dream” job.
Tributes have poured in for the former broadcaster, most notably from BBC Northern Ireland’s Peter Johnston: “We are sorry to bring you the sad news of the passing of our colleague Stephen Clements.
“Our thoughts are with Stephen’s family, friends and colleagues, at this difficult time.”
Silvio Horta, 45, – 07/01/2020
Ugly Betty show creator Silvio Horta has passed away after a suspected suicide.
He was found dead in a Miami motel room on Tuesday in an apparent suicide, according to sources, Variety reports.
He reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the publication.
Actress America Ferrera – who played Betty Suarez in the ABC comedy – penned a touching message on Instagram.
She said: “I’m stunned and heartbroken to hear the devastating news of Ugly Betty creator, Silvio Horta’s death. His talent and creativity brought me and so many others such joy & light.
“I’m thinking of his family and loved ones who must be in so much pain right now- and of the whole Ugly Betty family who feel this loss so deeply.”
Derek Acorah, 52, – 03/01/2020
Celebrity Big Brother star and TV psychic Derek Acorah died aged 69 from sepsis and pneumonia, his heartbroken wife revealed.
Derek, who appeared in Most Haunted, passed away during the midnight hours in Southport General Hospital where he was being treated in intensive care.
His devastated wife Gwen told The Sun Online: “He was taken really quickly. It was pneumonia which got him in the end.
“He developed sepsis and was in intensive care.
“I’m heartbroken to have lost him, it’s devastating that’s he’s gone.”
Derek, born in Bootle, Merseyside, shot to fame on cult show Most Haunted and later went on to present Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns.
Lexii Alijai, 21 – 01/01/2020
Lexii Alijai, a rising rap star whose real name was Alexis Alijai Lynch, has died aged 21.
The up-and-coming American star passed away on New Year’s Day and a cause of death has still yet to be released by the police and the local coroner’s office.
She started rapping over beats of well-known songs and earned herself an army of fans.
Her raps to songs such as Thugz Mansion by Tupac saw her popularity instantly rise.
She released her first studio album, Growing Pains, in September 2017.
Her cousin Raeisah Khan, sent out tribute on FaceBook “Your a real Legend. If you know her or heard her music you’d feel chills. Rest in paradise you’ll never be forgotten!”
Singer Kehlani who collaborated with Lexii, stated that she received ‘the worst news ever’ and urged her fans to ‘be safe’ and ‘love on your people’.
